The 2004 Official Texas Tech Ornament is finished in 14-carat gold and is a replica of the university's seal in a red and black, velour-lined gift box. Symbols on the seal include the lamp, which represents "school", the key for "home", the book for "church", and the star for "state". Cotton bolls represent the area's strong cotton industry and the eagle is suggestive of our country. The 2004 Official Texas Tech University Ornament supports special projects to benefit students.
