The 2017 and 21st edition Texas Tech University Ornament commemorates the historic Dairy Barn, an iconic landmark of the campus. It is designed in the Arts and Crafts Bungalow style, which differs from the Spanish Renaissance architecture common on campus. Barn construction was completed by December 1925 and was originally intended as a working laboratory for students interested in the dairy industry.
